Participant support costs are direct costs either paid to or on behalf of participants or trainees in connection with conferences or training projects. They are key to successful broader impact and outreach programs. To encourage such programming, the Federal government and Oregon State do not charge overhead on participant support costs. The following resources have been compiled to facilitate such decisions.
|Participant Support Flow Chart||Flow chart with simple "yes/no" questions to determine if the individual(s) can be considered a participant.|
|Participant category determination||OSRAA deifinition of participant|
|Federal Uniform Guidance §200.75 and §200.456||Definition of participant support according to the Federal government.|
|Grants, Contract and Gift (GCG) Manual Participant Support Definitions||The GCG is to Oregon State University as the Uniform Guidance is to the Federal government.|
